What is the name and number of your element?

-The name of my element is Cesium, and its number is 55

Where is your element found?

-Cesium is found in Canada and South America.

Where did you get the idea for your print?

-While I was researching I found that when cesium gets into animals bodies, they can have deformation. As I kept researching I found more and more cases like this. I thought it was interesting so I ran with it.

How did you make your plate?

-I started this project with a lot of research. I looked on a lot of websites to find anything so I would
have a wide verity of drawings. Then when I finally came up with the idea I ran with I had to trace it on a peice of tracing paper. After this step we had to put the tracing paper with our sketch on it, on the linoleum tile BACKWARDS, so when we traced it on the tile it would come out a normal way. After this we had to determine the black and white space and carve the picture out.

What was it like to make the prints?

-I thought it was fun carving and tracing but I did not get to print yet.

How did you make the prints?

-When you were done with the carving of your picture, you would have to spread paint on the tile and press the tile on paper to get the final product.

What did you like doing the best?

-I liked the drawing best. I think that it was the best way to express yourself especially with this topic.

What would you do better next time?

-I would probably try to speed up my process. I think that I would have been able to be printing by now if i would have been faster at the process in the beginning.
